Bluebells are out in Aberystwyth! This weekend we visited the Bluebell woods in Penrhyn coch with Caryl, Alyn and gorgeous little Steffan. Caryl won a Mother's Day mini session with me through the Mam Cymru Facebook page. I was thrilled as I had already met little Steffan when I visited his nursery to take photos last year and immediately fell in love with his gorgeous little character. It was really lovely to meet up with them again and capture his smiles whilst he explored the woodland. The bluebells were absolutely beautiful and carpeted the woodland floor in the most luscious blues and greens.
Bluebell sessions are some of my favourites, not only because of the stunning bluebells themselves, but also the time of year and the way the landscape changes. The trees are beginning to grow their new leaves and the woodland floor is covered in an array of wildflowers so we actually get a little more variety in the session and they really do provide the most beautiful setting for your images.
The bluebells are only with us for such a short time each year and are well worth exploring. There are also plenty of sticks to play with and streams to splash in, as Steffan discovered! We are so lucky to have all of this so local to us.
Thank you so much Caryl and Alyn for letting me capture these memories for you and for letting me share them here!
If you are interested in booking your own family session I'd love to hear from you!
