First of all, let me start by saying that I'm not usually a fan of hot chocolate but, Siocled isn't just any hot chocolate...It's AMAZING!
Fiona started Siocled about a year ago. She loved the hot chocolates that she got whilst out in the coffee shops, but could never re-create that full and delicious flavour at home. Shop bought powders were all too thin and watery and never really tasted of proper chocolate, almost more chocolate flavoured (if you know what I mean?!). She began to do lots of research, tried and tested different methods and ingredients until she found the perfect combinations of real Belgian chocolate and it's even better!
The hot chocolate that Fiona had created is thick, smooth and tastes divine. There are so many different flavours to choose from. It's a real treat!
I've tried almost all of the flavours and have bought some as gifts for people that I know love hot chocolate. I've just bought some of the little packets as stocking fillers for this Christmas and then some big bags for Christmas gifts, although I'm not sure I'm going to be able to keep them hidden for long...they're calling my name!!
There are a few ways to make this delicious drink. You can simply mix with milk, stir in a saucepan until the chocolate has melted into the milk and it has thickened slightly and enjoy a delicious hot cup of Siocled. You can leave it in the pan for a little longer until it becomes thicker and reduces, to enjoy it as a slightly smaller but sumptuous, almost dessert like drink (my favourite way) or you can use a milk frother machine to whip up a quick, frothy hot chocolate, which is the favourite with the kids as it's cool enough to tuck into straight away...
Siocled really is a treat. Fiona has created the most gorgeous little packets making it perfect for adding to a hamper, popping in stockings or gifting a bag to someone this Christmas.
